Studying Between Chapters

Studying Between Chapters is a record of learning that happens alongside living during a semester abroad in Copenhagen. The entries are provisional and observational, concerned with process rather than outcome, and written before anything has settled into certainty.

What I Care About

Paying attention to what’s small

Being honest without making a performance of it

Letting learning happen sideways

Big moments are obvious. I’m more interested in the quiet, repetitive parts of living somewhere new: the routines, the missteps, the details you only notice once the novelty wears off. This site pays attention to those.

Not everything needs to be inspiring or resolved. Some days are confusing, boring, or half-formed. I care about writing that reflects that honestly, without turning uncertainty into a personality trait or a lesson.

Some of the most important learning doesn’t come from classes, but from navigating daily life in a place that doesn’t work the way you expect it to. This site treats those moments as part of the education, not a distraction from it.
